| More than half of incarcerated parents report never receiving a personal visit from their children |
Are you the missing link?
|
Imagine being a child seperated from your parent, unable to see them...sometimes for many years. |
 |
At PWP, we believe in providing the opportunity for children to be united with their incarcerated mom so that relationships can grow and be nurtured. Resources and other obstacles prevent the children from being able to visit their parent. The moms that are incarcerated receive training on how to be a good parent to their children through completing the PWP parenting classes offered at the correctional facilities.

You can be the link by providing transportation for children to visit their incarcerated mom. Rides are provided once a month usually on the 2nd Saturday of the month. This volunteer opportunity requires that you pick up the child from their home, bring them to the correctional facility and back home again.
