You can help inmate parents by becoming a "Brother's Keeper" or "Sister's Keeper". As a volunteer "Keeper" you will become a source of positive influence, emotional support, spiritual guidance, hope and encouragement. You will be helping the parent maintain and strengthen their personal commitment to be a positive influence in the lives of their children.
You will be assisting the parent while they are in prison and after their release. While the parent is imprisoned you can provide support through letter writing or visits and after their release contact is continued through visits or phone calls.
